If you want to enjoy the winter scenery of Amanohashidate and the Sea of Japan but feel uncertain about snowy roads or highway traffic, taking the train is the perfect option.
No need to worry about winter tires or driving conditions — simply relax, gaze out the window, and enjoy your journey.

A complimentary shuttle service (advance reservation required) is available between Amanohashidate Station ↔ Hoshinooto,
allowing smooth and effortless arrival from the train to check-in.

Train Route to Amanohashidate from Osaka|Only One Transfer

Traveling from Osaka to Amanohashidate is simple, with just one transfer.
In about 2 hours and 10 minutes, you’ll arrive in the scenic coastal region of Northern Kyoto.

Once you arrive at Amanohashidate Station, our shuttle car will be waiting at the station parking area.
No need to walk or manage heavy luggage in winter weather — you’ll be taken directly to the resort.

① Osaka Station → “Limited Express Kounotori” to Fukuchiyama (Approx. 1 hr 30 min)

Board the Limited Express Kounotori from Platform 4 at JR Osaka Station, heading toward Fukuchiyama, Toyooka, and Kinosaki Onsen.


Enjoy the relaxing countryside scenery from your seat during the approx. 90-minute ride.

Notes
・A regular train ticket + limited express surcharge is required.
・Operates approx. once per hour — please check the timetable in advance.

② Transfer at Fukuchiyama Station → “Limited Express Hashidate” (Approx. 40 min)

After arriving at Fukuchiyama, transfer to the Limited Express Hashidate on the platform opposite.
The connection is coordinated, so transfer time is short and smooth.

The ride from Fukuchiyama to Amanohashidate takes around 40 minutes.
Watch as the landscape gradually changes while approaching the Sea of Japan.

Important
If boarding other trains (e.g., Tango Relay, Aomatsu), you must move to a different platform via staircase.


③ Arrival at Amanohashidate Station → Exit the Gate & Meet the Shuttle

After arriving at Amanohashidate Station (Kyoto Tango Railway), exit the ticket gate.


Turn left and walk straight — you will find the shuttle vehicle waiting in the parking area.

④ Approx. 30-Minute Shuttle Ride to the Resort (Advance Reservation Required)

Guests staying at our property may use the shuttle free of charge.
The ride from the station to the resort takes roughly 30 minutes.

Reservation Required:
Please call and make a shuttle reservation at least 3 days before your arrival date.

Optional: Enjoy a Sightseeing Train — “Aomatsu”

For those who want to make their journey even more memorable, consider taking the Tango Aomatsu Sightseeing Train — featuring a striking blue exterior and a cozy café-style interior.

Operates as a regular train, so no surcharge or reservation is required.
Seating options include counter, sofa, and box seats, and snacks and drinks are available onboard.

Counter seats are popular — board early if you want to sit there.
